Neighbors first. Facilitators second.
PCR Inc. is powered by people who live in the neighborhoods we serve — parents, educators, retired public servants, coaches, and young leaders who came up through the programs themselves.
How we are organized
Small staff, deep bench.
A grassroots Boston nonprofit organization runs on roles, not titles. These are the seats that keep the work moving week to week.
Mediation facilitators
Trained neutrals who run intake calls, hold family sessions, and follow up afterward. Facilitators are trained in structured mediation practice and bound by our confidentiality standards.
Circle keepers
Volunteers and staff who convene restorative circles in schools, congregations, and community rooms. Circle keepers complete a training track and co-facilitate before leading on their own.
Program coaches
The people running Chess for Peace nights, literacy circles, and technology sessions. Many are neighbors who started as participants and stayed on to teach the next group.
Youth leaders
Young people who move from participant to peer coach, running boards, welcoming newcomers, and shaping what the program should look like next season.
Skilled volunteers
Grant writers, accountants, translators, photographers, and event organizers who donate professional time so that program dollars stay in programs.
What we hold each other to
The standards behind every session.
Families let us into difficult moments. That access is earned, and it is easy to lose.
- Confidentiality. What is said in a session stays there, with the single exception of an immediate risk of serious harm.
- Neutrality. Facilitators do not take sides, assign blame, or decide who is right.
- Scope discipline. We are educators and facilitators, not clinicians or attorneys. When a situation needs licensed care, we refer rather than improvise.
- Cultural humility. Programs are shaped by the residents in the room, in the languages they speak.
- Safeguarding. Anyone working directly with young people completes a background check.
